Anti-CD30 detects a formalin-resistant epitope that is expressed by Reed-Sternberg cells in classic Hodgkin lymphoma, the majority of anaplastic large cell lymphomas, primary cutaneous CD30 positive T-cell lymphoproliferative disorders, and in embryonal carcinomas. The staining pattern of anti-CD30 in lymphoma and embryonal carcinoma is different, with the former being membranous and exhibiting Golgi zone accentuation in location, and the latter being membranous only.

Introduction Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma DLBCL , characterized by a high degree of heterogeneity in immunophenotype, pathogenetics, and clinical response, is the most common type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma NHL [ 1 ]. Immunohistochemistry IHC The specimens from formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded samplesat the time of initial diagnosis were collected for histological review and immunohistochemical analysis.
Statistical analysis Distributions of variables between the different groups were carried out by Mann-Whitney. Download: PPT.
